Make time for Strumyani
Strumyani is a place to explore village by village. In Ilindentsi, stone sculptures stand among the rocks, vineyards grow the local Keratsuda grape, and the Zandana rock formations give walkers another reason to stay. Near Mikrevo, the remains of an early Christian basilica reveal the area’s long history. For cyclists, the landscape changes from the Struma valley to hillier country, with longer climbs as you head into the surrounding mountains. Art, village visits and local wine can all be part of a trip here, alongside time on the bike.
