Make time for Strumica
Strumica has an established network of town cycling paths and several places worth exploring beyond the centre. Rides towards Vodocha and Veljusa can include visits to their historic monasteries, while the hills around Elenica offer a more active outing. Carevi Kuli, the fortress overlooking the town, and the Roman baths at Bansko are other highlights of the municipality. Back in Strumica, cafés and restaurants provide places to stop after a day out. The town is also known for its carnival, with costumes and celebrations forming an important part of local life.
